CLIENT CARE PROGRAM

FAQs

Welcome to our Client Care Program! We are excited to serve you in this program we created for you and your family. We’re sure you have a number of questions about our Client Care Program so we’ve created this FAQ document. If you don’t find the answers you’re looking for here, feel free to contact our office for more information.

What additional services do you provide at no charge under the Client Care Program?

In addition to the annual review of your legal documents and the routine updates that we will make for free or at a members-only discount depending on the extent of the change, you will receive annual Legacy Interviews and ongoing access to your documents through our secure client vault. We’ll also provide special pricing for your immediate family.
For an additional explanation of benefits, please see our features list.

Does my membership fee include unlimited document changes for the rest of my life?

The Client Care Program includes a free yearly review of your planning documents and special members-only pricing for routine updates to your plan. In the event that you want to change the structure of your plan, or require other significant updates, we would quote a fee before doing any work.

What if I have more children? Is there a charge to add additional children to my plan?

Adding a child is complementary. If we will be sending out new fiduciary letters, there will be an additional charge for that service.

What if I want to cancel before the end of the year?

You may cancel your membership at any time. However, if we have provided discounted or free services on your behalf under the Client Care Program agreement and the total value of that work exceeds the Client Care Program fees you have paid, we will require payment of the difference in price. If you want to join the Client Care Program again at a later time, you will pay an enrollment fee and join at the then-current rate. You may also be required to pay an additional fee in amount equal to the applicable monthly membership fee times the number of months since the date of your Signing Meeting (“Enrollment and Updating Fee”). If that’s the case, we will discuss that with you before re-enrollment.

What if I’m not ready to join now and want to join at a later date?

You can join the Client Care Program at any time. However, if you want to enroll after your Pre-Signing Meeting, there is an enrollment fee of $500. If you join at or before your Pre-Signing Meeting, we will waive the enrollment fee.

What if I want my sister, brother or parents to call you about their estate planning?

Your membership in our Client Care Program covers planning for your immediate family, including spouse, children, parents, and siblings. We are happy to handle their incapacity planning at no charge.

If they’d rather create a full estate plan with us instead of incapacity planning only, we will discount their plan by the amount we would have charged for the incapacity documents. If they want to discuss their own planning, we would be honored to handle that and will offer them a Life & Legacy Planning Session at no charge.

Will I have to pay hourly fees if I call you about something unrelated to my estate plan?

As part of your membership, you can contact us with any legal questions you have. You can call or email with your questions, you can schedule a 20 minute call, or you can schedule a one hour appointment via phone or zoom.

If your call requires legal analysis or consultation within our area of expertise, I recommend that you schedule a one hour appointment.

We schedule meetings ahead of time so we’re both prepared for the meeting, and we don’t play phone tag, which is just a waste of your time and frustrating for everyone. Quite often, this consultation can put your mind at ease and won’t require additional legal services. There will be no charge for any of this consultation or advice.

In the event the legal work can be handled by our firm that is outside the scope of our Client Care Program Engagement Agreement we will quote you a fee (if applicable) to handle the additional work before beginning any such work. In the event additional legal work cannot be handled by our firm, we do our best to determine the right lawyer for your matter.
